Starbucks S’mores Frappuccino

image

Apparently it’s back for the summer, but I had never tried it before. So a while ago, I decided to, and it didn’t disappoint!! Tasted pretty close to a s’more, with the blend of chocolate and marshmallow. Will definitely have it again. If you’re a fan of s’mores, I think you may like this Frapp too…

Tim Hortons Maple Iced Cappuccino?? Yes Please!!

image

When I got the email, from Timmy’s that they had come out with it, we had to give it a try. If you’ve ever had a regular Iced Capp from Timmy’s it’s nummy on it’s own. Add maple to the mix and it makes it better!! Of course I’m biased, as I love maple anything. If you have a love for maple too, then I suggest you give it a try!! Not sure how long it’ll be around for, as it’s a seasonal flavour…

Aroma Espresso Bar Ice Aroma

image

This past week, we decided to finally try a beverage at Aroma Espresso Bar, located in our local mall. We chose to try the Ice Aroma, made with espresso, milk chocolate and milk…yum. This is the frozen version of their Aroma Coffee. We really enjoyed the creamy milk chocolate taste, and though it’s a bit pricey at over $4.50 for this regular size, we’d definitely have it again sometime. If you have an Aroma Espresso Bar in your area, I’d recommend you give it a try yourself.

Crock Pot Cabbage Roll Casserole

A couple week’s back, I was looking for a new Crock Pot recipe. I was actually in the mood for the flavours of cabbage rolls, but didn’t want to deal with having to make cabbage rolls…so much work!! Then I found this recipe from Save with Pennies. It was pretty simple to put together and it tasted exactly like cabbage rolls minus all the work!! I will DEFINITELY be making this recipe again πŸ™‚ There’s also a non-Crock Pot version for those of you who don’t have one or don’t want to use it. It’s not the prettiest dishes, but who cares when it tastes good – right?!

Beyti Kebab in Mississauga

So, we checked out this place for the first time a month or so ago, and the photos are from that particular visit πŸ™‚ It’s a very small place, run by a very friendly Turkish couple. Their menu isn’t large, but it doesn’t have to be either. We ordered the lamb pide, as well as chicken doner (shawarma) but I couldn’t get a good photo of it, so I didn’t want to add it LOL But believe me when I say, it was yummy!! As well as the lamb pide. If you like Turkish cuisine and appreciate friendly service, I would suggest you give Beyti Kebab a visit. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!! πŸ™‚

The Churro Ice Cream Sandwich…CHURRO!!

Being I’m from the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), I had never heard of or seen this wondrous, and I’m veryΒ sure – scrumptious creation!! I found out it was created at a place called Churro Borough in LA. So, unless some place here in Toronto makes this soon, my hubby and I will have to find this place one day, when we make our way over to LA!! Until then, I’m going to just leave this here, for all of us to enjoy virtually…

Creamy Lime Squares

A friend of mine posted a list of St. Patrick’s Day recipes, and when I came across these squares I had to try them out. And let me tell you, they DO NOT disappoint, in the tart lime flavour department…omnomnom!! They were super easy to make, as it was just an adaptation, from a lemon square recipe. And it only took about an hour, from start to finish. I didn’t dust the top with icing sugar, but you can definitely go that route for guests, if you decide to try this recipe out πŸ™‚

No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars

I was in the mood for PB and chocolate the other day, so I fired up the interweebs to look for a recipe. That’s where, I came across this lovely no-bake one, and knew I just had to try it. The notes in the recipe states ‘Reese’s Who?’. Indeed!! πŸ˜‰ It definitely reminds me of a Reese’s PB cup, and even better, it tastes less sweet then one. I always find, that by the end of eating, one of those cups, the sweetness gets to me. These devilishly scrumptious squares, don’t affect me the same way, which I very much enjoy πŸ™‚ If you’re like me, then I believe you’ll enjoy this recipe as well!! Instead of a 13×9 pan, I made these in a 9×9 pan instead, as I thought they’d be too thin spread onto a longer pan. I cut the chilled square into 36 smaller squares,Β which are the perfect serving size for us.Β If you end up trying this recipe for yourself, and do make it in a 13×9 pan, I’d love to hear how it turned out!! The recipeΒ link is below, if you’d like, to give it a try…
