The Churro Ice Cream Sandwich…CHURRO!!

Being I’m from the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), I had never heard of or seen this wondrous, and I’m very sure – scrumptious creation!! I found out it was created at a place called Churro Borough in LA. So, unless some place here in Toronto makes this soon, my hubby and I will have to find this place one day, when we make our way over to LA!! Until then, I’m going to just leave this here, for all of us to enjoy virtually…

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

How cute are these Leprechaun Hat and 3-Leaf Clover cupcakes?? Hope you all had/are still having a great St. Patty’s Day!! The hubby and I opted to stay home, as going out can get expensive, not to mention WAY too busy…amirite?? We had made corned beef brisket over night yesterday, so we had that for dinner, along with some Irish-style beer…yum!!

I say Irish-style, because we tried out a micro brewed beer, from a brewery here in Ontario (Canada) called Beau’s. I’ve got to say, that I loved it. It may be because it was a red ale, and had some sweet notes to it. We’ll definitely try it again!!

Cheers Everyone 🙂

Creamy Lime Squares

A friend of mine posted a list of St. Patrick’s Day recipes, and when I came across these squares I had to try them out. And let me tell you, they DO NOT disappoint, in the tart lime flavour department…omnomnom!! They were super easy to make, as it was just an adaptation, from a lemon square recipe. And it only took about an hour, from start to finish. I didn’t dust the top with icing sugar, but you can definitely go that route for guests, if you decide to try this recipe out 🙂

Free Small Ice Cream Cone from Dairy Queen – March 16, 2015

Yesterday all Dairy Queens, were giving out free small ice cream cones, as part of their 75th anniversary celebrations. So, my hubby and I grabbed one each for dessert, and paid the extra bit for chocolate dipping it…omnomnom!! Anyone else take advantage of the free cone yesterday??

No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars

I was in the mood for PB and chocolate the other day, so I fired up the interweebs to look for a recipe. That’s where, I came across this lovely no-bake one, and knew I just had to try it. The notes in the recipe states ‘Reese’s Who?’. Indeed!! 😉 It definitely reminds me of a Reese’s PB cup, and even better, it tastes less sweet then one. I always find, that by the end of eating, one of those cups, the sweetness gets to me. These devilishly scrumptious squares, don’t affect me the same way, which I very much enjoy 🙂 If you’re like me, then I believe you’ll enjoy this recipe as well!! Instead of a 13×9 pan, I made these in a 9×9 pan instead, as I thought they’d be too thin spread onto a longer pan. I cut the chilled square into 36 smaller squares, which are the perfect serving size for us. If you end up trying this recipe for yourself, and do make it in a 13×9 pan, I’d love to hear how it turned out!! The recipe link is below, if you’d like, to give it a try…
