Holiday Baking Part II

So…since the Pumpkin Cream Cheese bars were less then stellar, taste wise for us, I continued on the hunt for another bar recipe!! I came across this Chewy Peanut Butter Brownie recipe, and thought…how can you go wrong with peanut butter right? Never!! These were ridiculously delicious. Super peanut buttery flavour (mind you I doubled the peanut butter measurement :D). To describe it best, it tasted like a brownie shaped chewy peanut butter cookie. OMG doesn’t even cover it. Totally omnomnom-worthy!! If you love PB as much as we do, you’ll definitely love this recipe. It’s easy to make and bakes in about 30mins. This one’s definitely a keeper, for a quick sweet treat any time of year, and may be added to my holiday baking this year!!

Krispy Kreme Key Lime Donuts…YUM!!

This month’s Krispy Kreme donut, is key lime flavoured!! So, we just HAD to try them, as it’s one of my favourite flavours 🙂 The first one we tried, was the Key Lime Cheesecake. This was the best out of the 2 by far. It had a key lime flavoured custard, on the inside, with cheesecake crust crumbles on top.

The second one we tried, was the Key Lime Cake donut. This one we didn’t like as much. I for one, barely tasted any key lime flavour from the dipped side, and the whipped cream did nothing for me. So, if I were get one again, it would definitely be the Key Lime Cheesecake donut. But, to each their own right? If you want to find out how good they are, make sure you stop by a Krispy Kreme location near you, before May is over!!

Green Apple Bubble Tea…Not What It Seems?

So, I tried one today for the first time, at Freshly Squeezed, and hated it. It was slushie style (not sure that was one of the reasons why), tasted way too sweet, and nothing like green apple. Was very disappointed…so much so, I asked for my trusty Pineapple, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Because I disliked it so much, I forgot to take a photo before handing it back LOL Anyone else have green apple, and enjoyed it? Let me know…I’d love to hear from you!!

Maple Season is Here!!

And what better way to celebrate it, then with a maple cupcake, from Metro’s bakery? A vanilla cupcake, with a light chocolate frosting and drizzle of maple…omnomnom. If you live near a Metro grocery store, get yourself in there now, while they have a whole bunch of maple baked goodies!!

A New Year…A New 365 Days of Foodie Goodness to Explore!!

Hi everyone!! Hope you’re having a great new year so far, and had a wonderful holiday season!! Sorry I’m just posting now, but I’ve really only gotten used to being back from our trip to Turkey. The way of life is so wonderful…much slower pace. Then again we were on vacation LOL Alas we had to come back though, and hope to go back as soon as we possibly can 🙂

So, to start off my new year of blogging, I’m going to leave you with an adorable Hello Kitty Cake!! How cute is this?! Especially with the glasses…LOVE!!
