Star Wars cupcakes!! How cute are these? Each cupcake looks pretty close to the characters, though I couldn’t figure out Jabba right away and Yoda looks stoned LOL But they all look omnomnom-worthy nonethe less!! 🙂

Dessert Tonight…Mini Angel Food Cake with Strawberries and Chocolate Syrup
Angel food cake + strawberries + chocolate syrup = HEAVEN. It’s just a plain awesome combination…omnomnom!! Now, I wish I could say that I made the angel food cakes myself, but alas I did not. We saw these at Costco, and they’re not too bad for store bought. Nice and light and a perfect size for dessert.

Tonight’s Dessert…Blueberry Love
We had very ripe blueberries, so my hubby made a quick compote with it. We decided to put it over a dessert shell, topped with ice cream and whipped cream…omnomnom.
Sour Cherry Pie!!
When my hubby and I had gone to Kensington Market, to eat at The Burger Bar, we stopped into Wanda’s Pie in the Sky. It’s a glorious little bake shop, with many different fruit, cream, custard and nut pies. There’s also other sweets to choose from, such as cookies and squares. On this day though, we chose to buy a small, 2 person sour cherry pie. We had bought the same pie, last year, when we first discovered them. It’s a wonderful combination of buttery crust, sour cherries and the right amount of sugar to balance it out…omnomnom 🙂
If you’re ever in the Kensington area, and are hankering for something sweet, stop into Wanda’s Pie in the Sky. I’m sure you’ll find something to satisfy your sweet tooth 😉
