Super Bowl 2018

Another year and another Super Bowl behind us!! Was a good game, but I’ll be honest, it was more about the food then the game for me LOL

This year I decided to finally try this Crack Dip I kept seeing on Pinterest. After deciding on which one of the recipes to use, I made it and let it do its thing in the fridge overnight. When I put it out for us to try, I could see how it lives up to its name!! The creamy, ranchy, bacony, cheesy goodness was a tad on the salty side (which is fine!!), but served with an array of veggies made a better compliment then chips. And we couldn’t stop eating it LOL Will definitely make this again sometime!! It’s too yummy to make often though 😉

I also chose to make meatballs, because I knew we’d have leftovers for another meal or two. I came across the recipe for these Thai Chili and Cranberry Meatballs on Pinterest as well. I usually make meatballs differently, but thought I’d change it up this time. I threw all the ingredients into the crock pot and cooked on low for 2 hours. It turned out great – we enjoyed the flavour of sweet and spicy very much. It’ll taste even better over rice later this week too!!

And with that, we enjoyed watching the game and eating some great food. Hope all of you who also watched, had a great time doing so!!

Bacon Cheddar Scone from Whole Foods

My hubby and I were at Whole Foods recently, and I saw this scone and had to take one home. We were SO excited to give it a try, because let’s be honest, bacon makes EVERYTHING better right?! And it was good, though a bit too salty for our tastes, and it could’ve used bacon throughout…not just on top.

Gerry Flintstone Dip

When I first heard of this, from a friend, I was like…’what?!’ LOL But I was told that it was amazing. So I looked it up and found the recipe, through the Today’s Parent Forum to try out, for Super Bowl sunday a few weekends back. It was pretty simple to make, and even though we made it without the bread bowl the original recipe calls for, it still turned out very yummy!! Mind you, what ISN’T yummy, when bacon and cheese is involved right?! 😉 I’d definitely recommend you try this out for yourselves, as I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!!
