While we were away, we stopped into a chocolate shop, on Huntsville’s historic Main Street. It was aptly called The Nutty Chocolatier. Like the location in Port Perry, there was an antique chocolate display, and jars upon jars of candies from our childhood.
But, I’m a chocolate gal, so we only bought a couple of their in-house made truffles. We decided on a square dark mint chocolate, a plain dark chocolate and a maple white chocolate truffle. The plain dark chocolate was good, but a tad chalky, for me. The dark mint chocolate was a perfect combo of mint and chocolate – can’t go wrong with that. I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of white chocolate, but the white maple chocolate worked really well together.
There are a few Nutty Chocolatier locations sprinkled around Ontario. If you’re ever in Guelph, Huntsville, North Bay, Peterborough, Port Perry or in the Beaches area of Toronto – take time out to step inside, for some nostalgia and nummy chocolate. They are a bit pricier then most places, but it’s not like you’re going to buy the whole shop either…maybe 😉
Bon Appetit Everyone 🙂
